Before we start any
treatment, a comprehensive
consultation is undertaken to
accurately diagnose the source of
the patient’s problem. This is
important as occasionally the
source is not always obvious and
therefore, we want to avoid
treating the wrong tooth.
A thorough history
of the presenting complaint is
initially taken. This is combined
with information gathered using
our digital radiographs,
microscope, crack locator, and
electric pulp tester. This builds
a full picture of the tooth and
surrounding structures to reach a
diagnosis.
If there is any
doubt over the diagnosis, which
can occur in the early stages of
infection, we do not treat. In
this scenario, you will be given
Naomi’s mobile number in case
symptoms deteriorate and treatment
is required quickly.
